Nothing can prepare the patriotic heart for their first glimpse of this elegant lady standing in the harbor. Originally started as part of a series of ocean scenes for a client who was commissioning some works. This one got set aside for a month or two. Looking at it with a fresh eye allowed me to make some small additions to the painting that give it the finished appearance I was looking for.
